Mindful Foundations Trauma-Informed Curriculum
Mindful Foundations is a trauma-informed curriculum rooted in relationship,3 rhythm, and emotional restoration. At its heart is the L.O.V.E.E . method—a three-phase cycle of implementation (foundation, regulation, education) that translates trauma-informed principles into daily classroom practice – listen, observe, value, empathize, and evolve (L.O.V.E.E.). While models like the Conscious Discipline Brain State Model help us understand what’s happening inside a child’s nervous system4, the L.O.V.E.E. method equips educators to respond with practical tools, emotional attunement, and consistent care . Together, they form a holistic approach to healing-centered education, where both students and teachers are supported from the inside out.
This approach matters now more than ever. The challenges in early childhood education are systemic, deeply rooted, and far-reaching. The cracks in the system aren’t just inconvenient—they’re hurting children, driving out teachers, and reinforcing cycles of harm. Mindful Foundations and teaching with L.O.V.E.E. represent more than another classroom framework. They signal a paradigm shift.
